German government announced on Sunday after a telephone conversation conducted by Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian President Vladimir Putin that the latter had agreed to a proposal for the formation of Merkel a "contact group" in order to start a "political dialogue" in the affair of Ukraine.
The government said in a statement that "President Putin and Chancellor agreed to the proposal to form an immediate investigation mission, in addition to the contact group could be headed by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe to start a political dialogue."
